This equates to approximately 86 gallons of softened water before a replacement is necessary, making it a reliable choice for households with 10 grains of hardness per gallon.
Avoid purchasing a filter system that limits you to a single brand of filter or softener cartridge. Many popular filter systems only accept their own replacement cartridges, as they are designed specifically for their housing.

The 10 Inch Softener should not be installed in-line before your espresso machine. Instead, always install a carbon filter afterwards.
